Ditching the Dragon is getting an audiobook.
Special editions are on their way with all the fancy bells and whistles, new character art, a new city map, and printing Pretty Weeds for the first time in this edition. Funds raised by the Kickstarter will go to creating these special editions and creating an audiobook.
Why Kickstarter?
Think of it like a crowd-funded pre-order.
Funding the Kickstarter means you receive a beautiful, special edition book and an amazing audiobook that I would normally struggle or not be able to afford to give you out-of-pocket. Printing/ recording is prohibitively expensive for most indies, so fundraising on KS helps defray or completely pay the costs.
There’s a pre-launch page set up so people can follow along as I get art commissions and other special extras in, and also to show you things as I’ve finished them. The Kickstarter means you can follow along while I create them, and also receive notice when there are updates.
When the page is live, you’ll have the ability to purchase the special edition, among other things. It’ll include an ebook with new formatting, the special editions in both paperback and hardcover, art prints, book boxes, and more.

Ditching the Dragon Special Edition
The long-awaited omnibus is coming.
This hardcover, foiled special edition omnibus includes all four books (Duality, Duplicity, Discord, and Dissent) plus the bonus epilogue (Just Deserts) and an additional 20+ pages of bonus content like location maps, editorial changes, and other discussions about the planning of the series.
Another special edition version of book 1 (Duality) is also being created with annotations revealing the foreshadowing for the series and other behind-the-scenes information. It didn’t fit in the omnibus, so it’s getting it’s own books.
New character art is also on the way, along with stretch goals for bonus stories in the same world and other fun extras.
This project will launch after the Ditching the Dragon project. My current estimate is late Spring/early Summer. It is much more complex than DtD.
